PIKE COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A Velpin, Indiana man has died as a result of a car accident on State Route 64 Tuesday morning.
According to the Indiana State Police, 54-year-old Jerry Aley was killed as a result of a three car accident. Police say a a 77-year-old woman ran a stop sign, hit a truck which forced that trailer of the truck into Aley's lane. Aley hit that trailer and was pronounced dead at the scene.
This all happened around 8:30 Tuesday morning at the intersection of State Route 64 and State Route 257.
That 77-year-old woman was airlifted to an Evansville hospital in serious condition. The truck driver was not injured.
