Suspect in custody after police say domestic dispute led to stabbing

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) - Two people are hospitalized and another was injured after a stabbing in an East Louisville neighborhood overnight.

Police said the stabbings stemmed from an domestic dispute in the 9900 block of Spring Ridge Drive.

Incident took place around midnight Monday. Originally Investigators said the 40-year-old William C. Wade stabbed his wife, his wife then stabbed him and somehow the wife's mother was also stabbed. However, after their investigation police said Wade stabbed his wife and mother-in-law, then stabbed himself.

All three people were taken to the hospital with what police described as non life-threatening injuries. Wade was released from the hospital and placed under arrest arrested.

He is currently at Metro Corrections and is facing two counts of 1st degree assault.
