(WHAS11) -- The Oldham County Police Department was contacted by a female juvenile who said she had been contacted via text messages from a person alleging to be an Oldham County Police Officer.
According to police these communications contained specific, graphic sexual references and other illegal and inappropriate communications. Through further investigation the Oldham County Police Department was able to identify the person communicating with the female as Officer Shane Mosley.
Mosley has been charged with unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities. he was also charged with first degree official misconduct, and third degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
No further information will be released due to an ongoing criminal investigation.
