LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police are beefing up security in Louisville in a new way. They are partnering with TARC after the deadly stabbing on a bus last month and other reports of violence.
TARC has hired off-duty LMPD officers to help oversee safety on the buses.
They will be in uniform and armed and will also have arrest powers.
TARC isn't saying how many officers they've hired or which buses they'll ride.
