(WHAS11) -- While most of the Democrats won't arrive in Charlotte until later in the week,  Occupy Wall Street protesters held a demonstration ahead of the convention.

The Charlotte police chief says about 800 protesters turned out for the march on Wall Street South.

They stopped at Bank of America's corporate headquarters before going into Bank of America stadium.

One person was arrested for alcohol intoxication, but it's unclear if it was a protester or a spectator.
