Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - According to a new CDC report, the number of children in Kentucky with ADHD is on the rise.
In 2011, 19 percent of children between the ages of four and 17 were diagnosed with the condition, compated to 11 percent nationally.
The overall number of children in the U.S. diagnosed with ADHD is increasing, as well. In 2003, just 8 percent of children had the condition.
Experts are unsure why Kentucky's rates are so high.
