LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Norton Healthcare employees and physicians are partnering with Habitat for Humanity for the 7th annual “Raise the Roof” campaign.
The project is aimed at building homes for Louisville residents that are in need.
Susan Turner, of the Habitat for Humanity, said nearly 400 homes have been built.
This current construction is helping Star Allen build a house for her and her god-children.
Turner said Allen spent her 30th birthday putting in work on the house.
“She has been so excited to see this happening so quickly,” she said. “She’s had a great time and been surprised that it really looks like a house today and she can’t wait to be in the house.”
Allen’s house is set to be finished in December.
