(Jamestown, KY.) – No arrests have been made in the Russell County shooting that sent one to the hospital.
The shooting occurred at approximately 5 a.m. on May 26.
Trenni D. Chaney, 37, allegedly waved a handgun and fired a shot, striking a vehicle occupied by 43-year-old Steven Pigman of Somerset.
Pigman, who was sitting in the car, in a lot by the residence, retrieved a shotgun from within the car and returned fire through the windshield, striking Chaney.
Chaney was transported to the hospital and then flown to UK Medical Center where he remains in stable condition.
The shooting took place at 150 Murray Rd. Both Chaney and Pigman live at that residence. One other person was at the residence but was not involved in the altercation.
No arrests were made and the results of the ongoing investigation will be presented to the Russell County Grand Jury at a later date.
