LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- As promised, new signs went up at the Big Four Bridge Monday asking both pedestrians and bicyclists to take it easy.

The signs simply state: SLOW.

The new signs came after the designated bike lane was removed because it wasn't working during busy times. Now that the space will be reduced even more with the electrical work, the Waterfront Development Corporation is asking for the spirit of cooperation between walkers and cyclists.

Some pedestrians have complained saying bicyclists have been rude.

Some bicyclists said it's just a few riders giving everyone a bad name.
