LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- An employee at a New York animal shelter was caught stuffing a live dog into a dumpster.
Michael Papini, 30, was employed as a kennel cleaner at the shelter.
Surveillance cameras caught Papini putting the dog in a plastic bag and tossing it into the dumpster.
Police reported a friend of Papini’s asked him to take this dog and her poodle to the shelter because she could no longer care for them.
Investigators said Papini charged the friend $500 to take the dogs into the kennel.
Police have not yet located the poodle.
Papini is facing animal cruelty charges and was suspended form work without pay.
