Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Artwork belonging to pop artist Andy Warhol that's been stowed on floppy disks for close to 30 years is now being released.
The Andy Warhol Museum said the images were made on an Amiga computer in 1985.
The work could have been lost forever if it were not for an artist who was a Youtube clip of Warhol promoting the Amiga's release. He then reached out to the Warhol Museum's chief archivist about the lost computer files.
The images have now been backed up so that they are safe even if the floppy disks fail.
