NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- New Albany city officials are taking steps to improve on of the city's parks.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held at Binford Park Monday morning.
The park is set to undergo a $900,000 renovation project.
Binford will get drainage improvements for the soccer and baseball fields, all of the surfaces will be redone, and the basketball courts and shelter house will be renovated.
City officials created the new parks system about a year ago to address much needed improvements.
