NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A New Albany woman convicted in the death shooting death was in a Floyd County courtroom Thursday for formal sentencing.
Nettie Luckett, a 75-year-old great-grandmother, was originally charged with murder after police said she shot her 49-year-old son-in-law, Doug Randolph, last August. Just days before her June 18 trial was set to start, Luckett pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter.
A judge sentenced Luckett to the maximum sentence of 30 years.
