INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WHAS11)-- The 5-year-old who survived a house fire in New Albany now has her tubes removed.
Tatyana Hughes was the survivor of the fatal house fire that claimed the lives of her three siblings.
Hughes grandmother texted WHAS11's Johnny Archer that the tubes had been removed and she is no longer on machine and is doing great.
"Today all of Tatyana tubes out central line out no more machines. Doing great," her grandmother texted.
Tatyana is still being kept at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
Police say Hughes’ three siblings died in a fire on Ealy Street when 18-year-old Cody Cashion fired a flare into the home where they were sleeping.
Cashion is now charged with murder.
Prosecutors say Cashion’s motive was a property dispute with a person who lived at the home but that he likely had no knowledge the children were inside.
Nineteen-year-old Kylie Jenks and 18-year-old Shelby Makowsky were arrested on Friday, Feb. 14, and charged with conspiracy to commit arson. A 17-year-old was also charged as a juvenile. Police say the girls were in the car when Cashion fired the flair into the home.
