Nelson Co. to hold vigil for slain teacher, daughter

BARDSTOWN, Ky. (WHAS11) – A vigil will be held at the Nelson County Government Courthouse offices on Thursday, May 1 for a slain teacher and her 16-year-old daughter.

Family, friends and strangers will let off light blue and purple balloons in Kathy Netheland and her daughter Samantha’s honor.

They were found murdered in their home in the Botland community near Bardstown last week.

Kentucky State Police are still looking for the persons responsible.

Police are looking for a black Chevrolet Impala whom they believe the persons inside were responsible for the crime.
