MANHATTAN, N.Y. (WHAS11) -- Officers arrested 30-year-old Christopher Adam Tang in New York City for breaking a rather unusual record.

Authorities say he was the man behind the wheel of a speeding BMW that supposedly made a lap around Manhattan in a record breaking 24 minutes and seven seconds.

Video of the joyride was anonymously posted on YouTube in August and has since gone viral.
Tang stopped at six red lights and ran at least one light along the 26.4 mile loop.

He faces reckless endangerment, reckless driving and other charges. Authorities also seized his BMW.
