LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire spoke at the University of Louisville as a guest of the University’s McConnell Center.
Ayotte has been a leading voice in the Republican Party on national security and foreign affairs. She’s also an advocate for fiscal responsibility.
Ayotte is a member of the Senate’s Armed Services Committee and was appointed by Senator Mitch McConnell as a counsel to the Senate Republican Leadership.
Her speech focused on her respect for McConnell and his commitment to the community.
Ayotte was elected to office in 2010 and she won 60 percent of the vote in her first bid for public office.
