MURRAY, Ky. (AP) -- One Western Kentucky community has voted to expand alcohol sales while another has decided to remain dry.
WPSD-TV reports that residents in Murray, who could already purchase alcohol by the drink, voted to also allow package sales in the city. The unofficial tally was 2,109 voting in favor and 1,822 opposed.
Voters in Marshall County, however, made the opposite decision. The unofficial results showed 6,906 opposed to any kind of alcohol sales while 6,211 cast ballots to allow sales.
