LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville murder suspect behind bars at Metro Corrections is facing more charges after police said he assaulted a Metro Corrections officer.
James Mallory is accused of breaking a corrections officer’s hand.
Mallory was on the phone when two officers tried to get the receiver back from him. Allegedly, Mallory pulled the cord back, crushing the officer’s hand.
Mallory is incarcerated, awaiting trial on a murder charge in connection with the death of 15-year-old Gregory Holt. Mallory is now charged with assault.
