Police investigate man murdered in front of home in LaGrange, Ky.
(WHAS 11)--A man was shot and killed in the front yard of a LaGrange home late Sunday night and now there are two suspects in custody.
The shooting happened around in the backyard of the home 10 p.m. May 11 in the 400 block of East Washington Street in LaGrange.
Police believe drugs were involved.
The victim's mother told WHAS it started after someone tried to rob two men, who are brothers, outside. The robbery ended in gunfire.
Police responded to the shooting after 9:30 p.m. on East Washington Street.
24-year old Justin Rogers who was shot and killed with a single gunshot wound to the chest.
His brother was able to get away.
Through eye witness testimony, police say suspect Henry Schultz-Eggenspiller, 22 years old, was taken into custody.
Schultz will be charged with murder and tampering with physically evidence.
Another suspect, 46 year old Robert J. Cabrera Jr., was also charged with murder and trafficking in a controlled substance 2nd degree.
Both suspects are from LaGrange, Ky.
The suspects are being held at Oldham County jail.
This is the first murder in LaGrange since 2009.
