Multiple fire crews respond to large Hardin Co. field fire

HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) – Firefighters are currently on the scene of a large field fire in Hardin County.

Officials say the fire happened just after 5:30 p.m. Sunday when it burned more than 100 acres near Rhudes Creek Road, which is west of I-65 and between Elizabethtown and Glendale.

There have been no injuries or evacuations.

Firefighters say an abandoned home and some barns have been destroyed.

More than 10 fire departments have responded to the scene.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
