(WHAS11) - More and more Americans are finding it difficult to stash cash for emergencies.
A new BankRate.com study reveals 28 percent of Americans don't have any money saved. That number is up from 24 percent in 2011.
Researchers blame stagnant incomes and the rising costs of household expenses. Prolonged unemployment has also dried up some Americans' savings.
Financial analysts suggest setting up a direct deposit from your paycheck or checking account into a dedicated savings account.
