Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Moms from across Kentucky are expected to demonstrate outside of Kentucky Kingdom today in protest after a mother said she was told she couldn't breast-feed her child out in the open at the park.
While those who originally organized the event have not officially cancelled the "nurse-in," many people are expressing on their Facebook page that they consider the demsonstration to be cancelled.
Renee Villatoro was nursing her son at the amusement park Monday when she said an employee told her she'd have to do that in the bathroom.
She told a friend and the story spread on social media.
Kentucky Kingdom's CEO issued an apology and clarification on their policy.
Kentucky state law states a mother can breast-feed her baby in any location--public or private--where she is authorized to be.
