(WHAS11) – A 22-year-old man in Missouri is accused of trying to spread HIV.
Prosecutors say the former Lindenwood University student engaged in sexual activity with more than 30 people after he discovered he had the virus that causes AIDS.
Michael Johnson is seen with 31 unidentified people in videos taking over a four month period.
Most of the videos were shot on the campus of the university in St. Charles, Missouri.
Prosecutor Tim Lohmar says most of the victims not only likely had no idea they were being videotaped, they were clueless that Johnson had HIV and he knew it.
If convicted of knowingly transmitting HIV, Johnson could face up to life in prison.
