(WHAS11) -- The parents of a missing Henry County 16-year-old girl are concerned because their daughter has now been missing for more than four days.
They suspect she is with a man who claims to be a member of a dangerous West Louisville gang.
Surveillance video from a New Castle apartment complex represents the last known sighting of 16-year-old Kristen Risinger. It was taken just before nine o'clock Valentine's night. She can be seen on the video walking off with a 19-year-old man believed to be a gang member.
Kristen is a straight A student at Henry County High School.
“She's underage. And if this boy is with this major gang, they could do anything to her,” Kristen’s mother, Kim Abrams said.
Abrams learned from her daughter's best friend that Kristen recently met the 19-year-old man on Facebook.
We confirmed that person has a warrant for his arrest in Louisville on drug and paraphernalia charges.
According to Kristen's friend, he claimed to be a member of the Cecil and Greenwood, or “C&G Gang,” which was once called the "Bad News Gang."
Police say members of that organization have been involved in multiple shootings, drug deals and other violent crimes.
Kristen's parents say they cannot contact their daughter, because she doesn't have her cell phone.
“I found her cell phone in the bedroom covered up with the SIM card and the battery taken out,” Abrams said.
Family members say they are tracking down any lead they can, trying to find Kristen.
“We've all been riding and trying to find her all weekend, but no luck,” Kenneth Risinger, Kristen’s father said.
“I have tried to contact her friends, telling them to let me know if she contacted you, even if it's bad or good or whatever, but I've heard nothing from nobody,” Abrams said.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky State Police and Louisville Metro Police have been involved in the search for Kristen.
Police notified her family late Monday afternoon that the two are believe to be in Indiana, but authorities do not know an exact location.
