(WHAS11) -- Crews will begin the process of lifting a 600-foot section of the new Milton-Madison bridge onto temporary piers Monday morning.
The bridge span will be floated on barges on Monday and then lifted into place. The process will continue through Wednesday.
Onlookers are invited to watch but must stay outside of the restricted area.
The best vantage point is the Madison waterfront.
Boaters must stay 500 feet away on either side of the bridge.
