RADCLIFF, Ky. (AP) -- A national military charity based in central Kentucky has named a new leader.

The News-Enterprise (http://bit.ly/MYTLas) reports Peter L. Giusti took over as president of the charity last month.

Retired Maj. Gen. John Tindall, who is chairman of the USA Cares board of directors, says Giusti stood out from a pool of 80 candidates because of his dynamic personality, energy and prior experience in the nonprofit sector.

Giusti's experience includes serving as chief development strategist for AMVETS, a national service foundation, and serving as chief executive officer of three other foundations.

He says nonprofit work fulfills him because it makes such a big difference in the lives of others.
