LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Pleasure Ridge Park Fire crews and Louisville Metro Police Department investigators found a man safe after receiving reports he had jumped off his boat and into the Ohio River near the Greenwood boat ramp at Riverside Park.

Authorities searched for more than an hour using an LMPD helicopter and two PRP search and rescue boats, but turned up nothing. When they arrived at the river there was no sign of the white male who had been reported missing by an anonymous caller. A PRP spokesman said his boat and his vehicle had not been found.

Eventually they found the man along the area of Cane Run Road and Greenwood Road, where officials say he flagged down cars. He was brought back to the boat ramp by officers who picked him up. He appeared shirtless with denim shorts on and received medical attention at the scene. Authorities did not disclose his medical condition.
