LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- Three LMPD officers were involved in an accident at 1807 Frankfort Ave.
They confirm that four vehicles are involved in the accident. They did not release the extent of any injuries to the involved
Police said that a Chevy Impala operated by a male born in 1988 ran into a silver Hyundai Accent, operated by a female born in 1968, which in turn hit the black Ford Taurus in front of her. The operator of the Taurus was an LMPD unit driven by a female detective which was occupied by two additional male detectives at the time of the incident.
The LMPD Taurus struck the Ford Edge that was in front of them. The Edge was occupied by driver, born 1965, and an adult passenger born 1969 along with three others ages 18, 15 and 12.
All passengers were checked out by EMS and released. The three detectives, who were on duty at the time of the accident, were transported to Baptist Hospital and checked out for minor injuries including back and neck pain.
The driver of the Impala was cited for failure to produce insurance.
