LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A small section of Broadway has been closed after a 8-foot hole emerges, according to MetroSafe.
The hole, which measures 2-feet across, was discovered at the intersection of Broadway and Hancock just after 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
An LMPD officer on the scene described the hole is big enough for a person to walk around in.
MetroSafe says the westbound lanes from Broadway to Clay and Hancock are closed.
It’s not known when they will reopen.
This is the second hole discovered in the downtown area in recent months.
Back in March, a small hole opened on 5th Street near Jefferson which halted traffic for a few hours.
