LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Louisville Metro Council Budget Committee meeting has LMPD Chief Steve Conrad front and center.

The meeting came after an LG&E franchise fee was passed just a week earlier by the Metro Council that will go toward adding more police patrols in Downtown Louisville.

The fee is a two percent hike, which will be about $13 on your natural gas bill.

The head of EMS and Louisville Fire Department are also going before the budget committee.
