(WHAS11) - A 13 mile stretch of Interstate 65 will be getting a face-lift of sorts.
Governor Beshear is announcing plans to add median barriers in portions of Hart, Larue and Hardin counties.
About 6 miles will be installed by the end of 2010 and the rest will be in place by early 2011.
The I-65 corridor between the Cumberland Parkway and Elizabethtown has been the site of several deadly crashes including a collision in March involving a semi and van that killed 11 people.
