MULDRAUGH, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Meade County father is in jail accused of murdering his newborn son.
Eric Braddam will be arraigned this week after police said he shook his baby so hard it caused his death.
Last week a family member called 911 saying the baby was unresponsive.
When officers arrived they performed CPR but the infant died at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
Seven-week-old Bradlyn lived in Muldraugh with his parents and grandmother.
“The father had been with the child that afternoon. The baby's mother, the mother’s mother and a girlfriend had gone shopping, they returned home around 10 that night; went to check on the baby and the baby was unresponsive in the crib,” Charlie Ashbaugh, the Muldraugh Police Chief, said.
The infant’s parents had recently moved to Muldraugh.
