LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A deadly DUI case has been dismissed because the lead officer is now under investigation.
Christopher Purcell was charged in the death of 31-year-old Tracey Blevins last year.
Police say Purcell was drunk when the Jeep he was driving hit the motorcycle Blevins was on, killing her instantly.
The case was dismissed because the officer Christopher Thurman said he will not testify at any of his pending cases.
Thurman is under investigation for allegedly falsifying his time sheet.
Purcell was a teacher at Iroquois High School and worked for the school system since 1988.
