LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man is arrested after police say he rammed an officer's cruiser.
Police arrested Arnoldo Chinchilla, 29, on I-264 Eastbound, at S. 3 Street.
According to a police report, Chinchilla was seen in vehicle parked outside a home where an officer was responding to a home invasion. Chinchilla then drove off, running a stop sign. The officer followed him onto Southern Parkway at I-264 where Chinchilla ran a red light, according to the report.
The officer then activated his lights and sirens in an attempt to pull Chinchilla over. In the report, Chinchilla ignored the officers emergency equipment and continued to drive onto I-264 E at a high rate of speed before crashing into a guardrail.
After crashing into the guardrail, Chinchilla placed the car in reverse striking the officer's cruiser as the officer was attempting to get out of his car, according to the report. The officer was able arrest Chinchilla.
Chinchilla is facing several charges including fleeing or evading police, DUI and assault.
