PERRY CO., Ind. (WHAS11) -- A man is dead after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into an overpass on eastbound I-64.
According to Indiana State police, a teal blue 2010 Nissan was traveling eastbound on I-64 at a high rate of speed. After passing several vehicles, the driver of the Nissan lost control, left the roadway and slammed into an overpass for SR 37.
The driver, who was not wearing his seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. The car then rolled down the embankment and on top of the driver before catching fire.
The eastbound lanes of I-64 were closed for approximately 1.5 hours while emergency crews processed the scene.
The name of the driver is not being released at this time.
