(WHAS11) - A Bardstown, Kentucky man under Hospice care has died after a fire at his mobile home.
It happened in Nelson County Monday afternoon on Cleo Avenue.
67-year-old Everett Burkhead died from smoke inhalation.
Authorities say Burkhead was alone at the time of the fire but his Hospice nurse called for help when she arrived to check on him.
Authorities tell us the fire appears to be an accident but they are continuing to investigate.
