BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WHAS11) – One of the two Iraqi men who pleaded guilty to shipping thousands of dollars and weaponry to help Al-Qaida will serve his life sentence in Kentucky.
Mohanad Shareef Hamadi is now an inmate at a high security facility in Inez, located in Eastern Kentucky.
Hammadi and Waad Ramadan Alwan pleaded guilty to terrorism charges.
Both were arrested in Bowling Green, Kentucky after a federal sting operation.
Alwan has not be assigned to a prison yet.
