(WHAS11) – The man accused of shooting two clerks at the Chase bank on Popular Level Road could be sent to death row after being convicted of murder in Lexington.

Jurors convicted Carlos Ordway Thursday and recommended the death penalty.

He was found guilty of murdering two Louisville men, Patrick Lewis and Rodriequs Turner, in Lexington three years ago.

Those murders happened five days after Ordway and the victims were involved in the bank shooting. Both tellers survived.

A judge will formally sentence Ordway in September.
