LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man was arrested Monday after a warrant was issued stemming from a domestic incident over the weekend.

According to court records, on March 8, 36-year-old Aljermaine Foy arrived at the home of his ex-girlfriend's sister and an argument ensued with the ex-girlfriend over the ending of their relationship.

Police said Foy became aggressive and the victim agreed to drive him to his brother's apartment.

Once at the apartment complex, police said Foy took the victim's keys and threw them into a nearby wooded area. The victim then pushed Foy and asked him to retrieve the keys. That's when police said Foy became physical.

The report states Foy grabbed the victim by the hair and pulled her into the woods. Police said Foy then grabbed the victim by the throat and began choking her until she lost consciousness. When the victim regained consciousness and got to her feet, police said Foy then bear-hugged her and squeezed her until she passed out.

Police said during the incident Foy hit the victim in the head with a rock, bit the back of her neck and banged her head against the ground before forcing her face into the mud, causing her to loose consciousness a third time.

The victim began screaming after she regained consciousness and a passerby called 911. Police said Foy left the scene on foot and the victim ran to the apartments for help.

The victim sustained injuries to her head, nose, throat and neck.

According to the report, Foy also threatened to kill the victim several times during the assault.

A report was filed and a warrant was issued for Foy's arrest.

Foy is charged with 4th degree assault, 1st degree assault and attempted murder.
