Louisville named one of nation's saddest cities

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- We may be honest, but a new study says Louisville is one of the saddest cities in America.

We're number three on the list released by the National Bureau of Economic Research.

They used data from a survey from the Centers for Disease Control, which asked people "How satisfied are you with your life?"

Respondents had four choices: Very satisfied, satisfied, dissatisfied and very dissatisfied.

Apparently, Louisvillians are "very dissatisfied".

Researchers can't find any correlation between factors like weather, pollution, income or crime when it comes to happiness.

We're number three, so here's a look at the other saddest cities:

1. New York City

2. Pittsburgh

4. Milwaukee
