Louisville marks 'World Water Day'

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Louisville helped mark World Water Day with educational activities at Louisville Water Tower Park and the brand new Water-Works Museum.

Visitors had the chance to create a water main that stretched across the front of the museum and could donate change that will benefit communities that don’t have access to a good water supply.

The United Nations estimates close to 800-million people don’t have access to safe drinking water.

The Water-Works Museum opened last month and features exhibits full of historic artifacts highlighting Louisville’s highlighting Louisville’s connection to the Ohio River.
