LOUISVILLE, Ky (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man was arrested Thursday, March 28 at the Comfort Inn on Dixie Highway after police say he was pacing the third floor and knocking on various room doors.
According to the Shively police report, two victims called police after Antonio Zapata III knocked on their door, pointed his knife at them and began cursing and threatening to hurt them. When the pair refused to let him in, he began stabbing the door near the handle.
When the police arrived, they ordered Zapata to place his hands on top of his head, but he refused, turning away and putting his hand in his pocket. Officers were forced to take Zapata to the ground where they found the knife in his pocket.
Zapata admitted to the officers that he was drunk.
He is charged with first degree wanton endangerment, third degree terroristic threatening, menacing, second degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, third degree criminal mischief and first and second offense alcohol intoxication in a public place.
