LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Louisville Firefighters hit the links on Monday to help the special needs children of Kentucky and Southern Indiana for the Annual Terry Meiners Crusade Golf Scramble.
More than 100 golfers hit the cart paths at the Iroquois Golf Course to benefit the WHAS Crusade for Children.
The event was organized by the Firefighters Union Local 345.
"It's a great local charity," Chief Greg Frederick of Louisville Fire & Rescue said. "All the money goes to local folks for their children and their needs. We just think it's a great opportunity to support that."
This edition of the Terry Meiners Crusade Golf Scramble is expected to bring several thousand dollars to the Crusade.
