LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police are crediting a Louisville cab driver for helping them take down a suspected shoplifter.
Tony Wilds was arrested Sunday night at the Wal-Mart on Bashford Manor Lane after police said he tried to steal $1,200 worth of merchandise.
According to the police report, the cab was waiting for Wilds when he came out of the store, but the driver would not leave because Wilds owed him money. Wilds allegedly threatened to kill the cab driver, so the driver used pepper spray on him.
Wilds is charged with robbery and terroristic threatening.
