(WHAS 11)--Louisville boxing legend Jimmy Ellis will be laid to rest.
Ellis was Muhammad Ali's close friend, sparring partner and trained with Angelo Dundee.
He also held the world heavyweight title for two years.
After retiring from boxing, Ellis worked for Metro Parks.
He was very dedicated to his church, Riverview Baptist, and was still cutting the grass there in his final days.
Ellis died Tuesday at age 74.
His funeral is at 11 a.m. at Canaan Christian Church.
