LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- It'll be a busy weekend in downtown Louisville.
Thousands of people are expected to take part in the Louisville AIDS Walk on Sunday, marking the event's 20th anniversary.
The two-mile walk is at 3 p.m. at the Great Lawn at Waterfront Park.
More than 6,000 people are expected to walk or run.
The event's director said cities similar in size to Louisville no longer have an AIDS Walk, but the Louisville event has strong support.
The Louisville Walk has raised more than $4 million and funded 14 local nonprofit organizations since 1993.
Money raised goes to support services like food, housing, medical care, counseling and more.
