LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Thomas Neuteufel says he's gotten pretty creative when it's come to asking girls out on dates but going online to get one for prom was definitely a first.

“This is the first time I've ever posted anything on Craigslist. It's sketchy. Personal ads there are pretty infamous," Neuteufel said.

To keep with the trend, Neuteufel decided to write an ad, detailing a number of requirements a date would have to meet.

"They had to be hot, my minimum was an 8.6 out of ten, but parents, that's subjective," Neuteufel said.

A mutual feeling felt among the online community.

"One girl even tweeted out to me yesterday, saying ,'who do you think you are? You can't get an 8.6," Neuteufel said.

The comments only fueled his popularity on social media. His list went on to include a subject that caused even more backlash.

"I got so much hate on Facebook," Neuteufel said.

His second requirement was questioned even by his mother...stating his date had to be open to hooking up at the after party adding, No STD's please.

"My mom was a little shocked. She seemed a little disappointed in me," Neuteufel said. "I just put the STD's there, because I thought that was funny."

But he was serious about this next one and his date would have to pay for her prom ticket.

She must be fun to hang out with. Be a good texter and do well at socializing, and to keep the conversation going, she'd need to score a 28 or above on her ACT, and validate it.

"I kind of was serious about it, but not really, but now it's really changed. It's something I'm going to try to follow up on," Neuteufel said.

Neuteufel says he's still taking offers.

"It's going to be fun while it lasts," Neuteufel said.

We have reached out to Neuteufel's school for comment, but officials had left for the day.
