LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Jeff Wright spends his week teaching physics at Male High School. One of his former students Zack Conkle filmed a documentary on the teacher revealing the other side of Mr. Wright's life.

"Everybody that Adam meets, they usually talk to him first. They treat him as a completely normal kid and that's what has always overwhelmed me," Wright said.

Wright's 12-year-old son Adam has Joubert Syndrome. Only 417 people in the world have it. Adam can't control what his body does even though he has function capabilities.

After Conkle made the documentary it caught the attention of The New York Times and "The Doctors"

"The experience was life changing. There were two big surprises that completely overwhelmed myself and my family," Wright said.

The episode of The Doctors will air Monday at 10 a.m. on WHAS-11.
