NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WHAS11) – Boys and Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana are bringing Christmas cheer to local kids just in time for the holidays.

Staff and volunteers from the organization hosted a holiday wrapping event which will provide 1000 gifts for children ranging in ages from 6 to 18-years-old.

Wrapped gifts are handed out to the local Boys and Girls clubs in the community for their annual Christmas parties.

Donations from the Optimist Club of Louisville and additional resources from Toys for Toys help make the event possible.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana serve approximately 4,000 children in low-income neighborhoods including Newburg, Shawnee and Parkland with Indiana clubs in Jeffersonville and New Albany.
